Should I use the Chat Widget, the UI Kit, or the SDK?

You have a few different options when integrating CometChat into your platform. Between our Chat Widget, our UI Kits, and our SDKs, there is an option for everyone that provides the level of customization needed.

Chat Widgets are a ready-to-use, plug-and-play model that will have your chat up and running in a matter of minutes. Chat settings are readily available through your CometChat Dashboard and can be enabled and disabled by a simple toggle. Please note that our chat widget is not customizable, so this is only a good option if you're looking for basic chat functionality which cannot be modified to suit your needs. 

Our UI Kits are a good option if you want to be able to customize but don't want to build your own UI. The UI Kits are component based with some level of customization available within the components. The majority of our customers select the UI Kit option. 

SDKs are our most customizable option. These are the core of CometChat, on top of which the UI Kits and Chat Widgets are built. If you want complete control over your UI and maximum ability to customize behavior and tailor your user experience, this is the choice for you.
