What is a chat theme?

A theme is a style applied to every component of CometChat. When a style is applied as a theme, every view and component in the UiKit will apply the properties of the theme supported within that component. 

Themes are comprised of two key components: Palette and Typography.

Palette: The Palette can be used to customize the color scheme of the CometChat theme, including background color, primary and secondary colors, error color, and various levels of accent colors.

Typography: Typography encompasses all the default Text Style's values. It allows you to customize the appearance of text throughout your chat. 

Themes can be applied in the UI Kits but not in the Chat Widget. To learn more about applying themes, visit our documentation and select the appropriate article for your framework.
